the story of

... our heartful habit

"Yoga seeks the connection with our innermost nature and who or what we really are. We would like to inspire you to roll out your yoga mat regularly in order to develop your personal ritual and to embark on this search.

The interplay of your breathing, mindful bodywork and emotional management makes it what we love so much. A practice of cordiality, a ritual - on and beyond your yoga mat. "

Andrea Ispàn, founder of Manolaya - with Baldo der Lagotto

one after the other

The most beautiful stories are written by life itself - and so it was with the creation of the Manolaya brand. It is closely linked to the history of the Manolaya Yoga School in Munich's Au.

When Andrea returned from a long trip to India at the beginning of 2016 with a fresh yoga teacher certificate in her pocket, she already had the idea of the first piece of clothing in her head. A catsuit that allows complete freedom of movement due to its function-oriented design, which does not pinch or pinch while practicing and does not slip into the face.

It should be made from renewable raw materials in the country of origin of yoga in an ethical and sustainable way. This basic idea as well as her own experiences on the mat eventually became the basis for further designs.

A production partner who met their requirements was soon found and production could begin.

In her yoga school

the magic of letting go

But as life goes, the founding of her own school was unexpected and drew all her attention. This was followed by a wonderful, instructive three years and a small community full of warmth grew up.

As soon as the first pieces were put up for sale in the studio, your yoga students were also their first buyers.

When the offspring made their way, Andrea decided to focus on her family and closed the yoga school at the beginning of 2020.

Thus the space for the yoga wear was created and today she can fully concentrate on the distribution of your collection and on the creation of new designs.

Today she lives with her family and dog Baldo in Munich and teaches the Manolaya Community weekly.

"My yoga lessons are based on the basic principles of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga according to BKS Iyengar and are individually and contemporary adapted to my experiences and the needs of the students my yoga school - knowledge and experience from Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Jivamukti Yoga into the class.

In my heart I am deeply connected to the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa. However, I believe that the classic method, supplemented with the use of aids, ensures an injury-free and deep practice. They help us to get safely into the individual postures so that we can enjoy the effect of the individual positions on the body and learn to understand the meaning of the postures.

Yoga is yoga - be it Yin, Ashtanga or Vinyasa - I try to show you the way to become your own teacher and thereby become a better form of yourself. "
